Italy 2025 | Concert

  • Confirmed Performances

    • IFC is confirmed to sing two concerts are the following venues

    • Full 1-hour concert at St. George's Anglican Church Monday 6:00 pm

    • Full 1-hour concert at Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli, Wednesday, 6:00 pm

    • St. Mark's Basilica - As of November 2024, the Basilica stopped receiving requests for guest choirs to sing for Mass; we pursued this as recently as January 2025, but this appears to no longer be an option; we have however scheduled a private 1-hour tour of St. Mark’s Basilica as part of our activity package

  • Confirmed Repertoire

    • Our Italy concert tour repertoire can be accessed at the link below; the link contains audio demo links as well as links to .PDF scores

    • Scores are copyrighted resources and are the property of International Festival Chorus and are not to be shared with others outside of the chorus

    • Link to repertoire: Italy Tour Repertoire

    • Our repertoire was carefully curated by our IFC Conductor, Tom Anderson, and section leaders and based on these principles:

    • Repertoire must be a mix of uniquely western and Asian pieces, as well as a select Italian Renaissance piece

    • Concert repertoire must be challenging enough that it is appealing to a sophisticated Venetian audience

    • Repertoire must be accessible enough that a group of non-professional (amateur) choristers can prepare it to a high level of excellence in the rehearsals we have at our disposal

    • Many Italy choristers come from our current IFC cohort, therefore, there are some Italy repertoire selections that overlap with our May concert season

    • Italy choristers also number from our alumni, therefore, selections were chosen from past post-covid seasons

    • As an international choir, our repertoire reflects a few languages and pieces from across the globe

    • All the above PLUS the repertoire should be singable, beautiful, enjoyable to prepare, and when combined, form just the right compliment for a concert tour

    • Selections from current May concert season

      • Come To Me
