Italy 2025 | FAQ

  • Are there hotel recommendations for choristers on a budget?

Yes - contact Eu Chai directly at euchai@ergo-travel.com for budget hotel recommendations

  • Where will the dinners be held?

    • Dinner venues are still to be finalised, but at the moment plans are for 2 choral participant dinners on the first night and last night at restaurants near the hotel

    • We encourage our non-singing participants to join these two celebration dinners

    • Restaurants in Venice are notorious for their excellent pizza and seafood cuisines; we will likely seek out a famous traditional neighbourhood tavern serving hearty Venetian fare

    • There will be some choice of food, however most dishes are to be shared

  • What is included in the dinners? Drinks, alcohol, service fee? Are there additional costs?

    • All food including dessert is included

    • Water, coffee, and beer/soft drinks are included at the pizza restaurant

    • Wine/alcohol are to be paid for individually

  • What is the deposit used for and is it refundable?

    • The deposit will be used to secure music related expenses, i.e., rehearsal and concert venues (churches), scores, guest musicians/organist, likely piano rental, etc.

    • S$200 is the cost for choral participants to book your place for the Italy tour up front; we must know the number of our choral participants to know if the trip is a go

    • Deposit is refundable if the trip does not confirm

    • Deposit is not refundable if the trip confirms and a choral participant withdraws after the 18 Oct closing date

  • Do participants book the recommended hotels themselves or can they choose to have it booked for them?

    • Participants can either book their own hotels (one of the 3 suggested hotels) or any other hotel of their choosing

    • Or, participants can book one of the three suggested hotels through Ergo : Travel

  • Do kids and non-singing participants pay the same as choristers (i.e. including costs for rehearsal and concert venue, etc)?

    • No. But, children and non-singing participants may OPT IN for the scheduled activities with a lower rate to be determined

  • What are options if guests/choristers do not want to take part in either the tour or the dinners?

    • Non-participants may join dinner and/or the activities

    • All may opt in or opt out closer to the date
