Are there hotel recommendations for choristers on a budget?

Where will the dinners be held?

Dinner venues are still to be finalised, but at the moment plans are for 2 choral participant dinners on the first night and last night at restaurants near the hotel

We encourage our non-singing participants to join these two celebration dinners

Restaurants in Venice are notorious for their excellent pizza and seafood cuisines; we will likely seek out a famous traditional neighbourhood tavern serving hearty Venetian fare

There will be some choice of food, however most dishes are to be shared

What is included in the dinners? Drinks, alcohol, service fee? Are there additional costs?

All food including dessert is included

Water, coffee, and beer/soft drinks are included at the pizza restaurant

Wine/alcohol are to be paid for individually

What is the deposit used for and is it refundable?

The deposit will be used to secure music related expenses, i.e., rehearsal and concert venues (churches), scores, guest musicians/organist, likely piano rental, etc.

S$200 is the cost for choral participants to book your place for the Italy tour up front; we must know the number of our choral participants to know if the trip is a go

Deposit is refundable if the trip does not confirm

Deposit is not refundable if the trip confirms and a choral participant withdraws after the 18 Oct closing date

Do participants book the recommended hotels themselves or can they choose to have it booked for them?

Participants can either book their own hotels (one of the 3 suggested hotels) or any other hotel of their choosing

Or, participants can book one of the three suggested hotels through Ergo : Travel

Do kids and non-singing participants pay the same as choristers (i.e. including costs for rehearsal and concert venue, etc)?

No. But, children and non-singing participants may OPT IN for the scheduled activities with a lower rate to be determined

What are options if guests/choristers do not want to take part in either the tour or the dinners?

Non-participants may join dinner and/or the activities

All may opt in or opt out closer to the date
