"Let us go singing as far as we go; the road will be less tedious."
The IFC’s journey started in 1974 when it was established as the adult choral body of the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA). It is a journey that has seen diverse repertoire from large-scale orchestral works to intimate a capella gems from different music genres, cultures and epochs; a journey with notable highlights such as the Asian premiere of David Fanshawe’s African Sanctus, and the Singapore premiere of J.S. Bach's Johannespassion.
Our history of fine conductors, singers and musicians, coupled with our huge repertory of music, are the foundation of our continuing musical and artistic mission. Building on our roots with UWCSEA, the Chorus has expanded to include members from several countries, cultures and professions.
In 2014, we celebrated our 40th anniversary — marking 40 years of song, friendship and the celebration of choral music.
